2/10-2/14
This week I worked on what is called "digital campus signage". It involves using photoshop throughout the whole process for text, images, and effects. There are three versions of the same information I am assigned to create. These will be displayed on/at the instagram, Washakie Dining Center, and the Student Union. The purpose is to display the different opportunities available to support Cowboy/girl sports in Laramie.

2/17-2/21
This week I practiced making video board graphics to be used in the future, or modifying ones from the pass. This gave me experience working with lots of layers in photoshop as well as learning how to make a series of graphics cohesive as a group
I also worked on advertisements for tickets that will be displayed in places such as Pandora, Instagram, and Facebook. These were very simple in design but took a lot in terms of figuring out the exact dimensions to fit the website format.
I also took picture during the CSU game at home, and am working on editing those.

2/24-2/28
This week I worked heavily on cutouts of sports photos and action shots in photoshop. As the sports seasons are slowing down there are not many game day graphics to be made but rather "end of season" graphics. Hence the end of banquet invitation I designed. For this invitation I came up with 4 different creations and the one shown is the chosen design.

3/2 - 3/6
This week I worked on editing photos from the basketball game I took photos at some more. I also worked on designing options for a summer basketball camp UW hosts. Using information given from the source who puts the camp on, then transferring it onto a graphic for online advertisement.

Since the Conversion to Online
March 30 - April 12

I am able to work for the internship remotely from home. Given that athletics are not in session I can not be making graphics that pertain to present day events. I have thus been tasked with creating templates of all sorts and renaming/organizing the sports photoshoots for the next year. Templates I have made include birthday graphics, instagram story templates, and am now working on a recruiting graphic. The organizing all takes place in dropbox. Since we were not able to have the sports photoshoot day due to the school closure we are having to reuse last years (why I am going through to reorganize, rename, and weed out the seniors).
It has been a bit of a challenge to get used to working remotely. Now having to use photoshop on my own personal (small) laptop, not having the correct photoshop libraries, and not being able to have my supervisors help right next to my desk while working. However, this is making me think more on my own rather than always seeking aid and I believe forcing me to grow more artistically. We will see where this takes me the rest of the month.

APRIL 12 -APRIL 24

I am continuing with creating graphic templates to use for events. Basing my work off of previous graphics, and using what little tools/libraries I have from my home computer.

April 24 - May 1
Worked on cutouts and "Improvement Record" graphics this week.

As my internship has now been completed, I am now reflecting on all I have grown in and learned new.
Not only was I more or less reintroduced into photoshop as I had forgotten all its features, I also learned a multitude of techniques to be used. Many of these techniques retain to usage for graphic design capabilities such as cut outs, social media graphics, and advertisements.
I also learned a great deal on the visual pleasing side of graphic design. For example, what colors look good together, visual balance/placement, complementary fonts, and things such as.
I was also able to practice my photography skills through attending D1 sporting events and sit on the sidelines to take picture.
Overall, this internship proved to be beneficial for myself to learn more digital artwork than studio/three dimensional as I am used to. I think this will be a key factor I can use going on after graduation.
